Excellent academic credentials and exceptional writing, drafting, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

  • Counsel clients on government contracts, laws, and regulations.
  • Review and negotiate subcontracts and teaming agreements.
  • Handle bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and/or Court of Federal Claims.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to government contract matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and memoranda.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and other proceedings.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on issues with government contracts.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of government contract experience is required.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • High level of academic achievement.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (Illinois preferred).
  • Experience with litigating bid protests is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (Illinois preferred).
