A law firm in Fargo is seeking an Oil and Gas Associate Attorney with strong interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited Law School, an active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and the ability to promptly get admitted in the state of North Dakota.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct oil and gas title examinations.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to oil and gas transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on oil and gas matters.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and government agencies.
  • Assist with negotiations and settlements.
  • Research and analyze legal issues related to oil and gas law.
  • Handle other legal tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited Law School.
  • Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Ability to promptly get admitted in the state of North Dakota.
  • 3+ years of North Dakota oil and gas title examination experience.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Strong academic background.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited Law School.

 

Certifications:

Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
