A law firm in Portland is seeking a Mid-level General M&A Associate Attorney with 3+ years of law firm experience in mergers and acquisitions and other significant business transactions. The ideal candidate must have excellent academic credentials, transactional skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. They should possess a strong client-service ethic, outstanding interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Additionally, the candidate must have an active, in good standing, state bar license, excellent writing and drafting skills, a high level of attention to detail, a track record of responsiveness, and strong client relationship skills.

 

Duties:

  • Assist in mergers and acquisitions and other significant business transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews.
  • Draft and negotiate transactional documents, including purchase agreements, merger agreements, and disclosure schedules.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on transactional matters.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Perform legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior associates and legal staff.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of law firm experience in mergers and acquisitions and other significant business transactions.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Active, in good standing, state bar license.
  • Strong transactional skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong client-service ethic.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing and drafting skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:
