A fast-growing law firm based in Springfield, Illinois, is seeking a newly licensed attorney or a recent J.D. graduate awaiting bar admission to join its dynamic team. This position is ideal for a motivated individual interested in gaining hands-on experience in family law, probate, and civil litigation. Location:

  • Springfield, IL 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law, civil litigation, and probate matters

  • Prepare for and attend court appearances, including travel up to 90 minutes each way (occasional trips up to 3 hours)

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents

  • Communicate with clients and maintain regular case updates

  • Collaborate with paralegals and other attorneys on case strategy and execution

  • Participate in client meetings and legal consultations

Requirements:

  • Newly licensed attorney in Illinois, or J.D. graduate with license pending

  • Interest in family law, probate, and/or civil litigation

  • Ability and willingness to travel for court appearances

  • Strong work ethic and a desire to grow in a fast-paced legal environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligibility pending bar results

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
