A law firm in Florham Park, NJ is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to assist and/or manage a caseload involving personal injury defense matters. The candidate will handle various legal proceedings including discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, and arbitrations, while working closely with Principals to develop and revise legal strategies. Strong research, analytical, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

 

Duties:

  • Assist and/or manage a caseload involving personal injury defense matters.
  • Conduct discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other similar proceedings.
  • Collaborate with Principals to develop and revise legal strategies for cases.
  • Provide guidance to clients on legal opinions, rights, and obligations.
  • Stay current with changes in the law and understand various disciplines involved in defended cases.
  • Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar; admission to the New York Bar is a plus.
  • 5+ years of litigation attorney experience.
  • Knowledge of business law and specific understanding of client operations and requirements.
  • Member in good standing of the State Bar.
  • Superb creativity, perseverance, cognitive and reasoning abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills for complex legal issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar; admission to the New York Bar is a plus.
  • Member in good standing of the State Bar.
