A law firm in Richmond is actively seeking a skilled Civil Litigator with 2-5 years of government/employment litigation experience. The ideal candidate should possess superior legal writing and research abilities, exceptional client service skills, and a strong desire to take a lead role in case handling. Bar admission in Virginia is a must for this position.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and legal arguments.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in and manage all stages of civil litigation, including hearings and trials.
  • Take a lead role in case management, coordinating with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
  • Provide effective and timely communication to clients, updating them on case developments and addressing their concerns.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to strategize and achieve successful case outcomes.
  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations relevant to government and employment litigation.

 

Requirements:

  • Bar admission in Virginia is mandatory.
  • 2-5 years of experience in government/employment litigation.
  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle cases independently and in collaboration with a legal team.
  • Excellent client service skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
