Family Law Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney with the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Family Law Attorney will be responsible for providing legal representation to clients in various family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, child custody, spousal support, and domestic violence cases. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in family law, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to handle complex legal issues.

Duties:

• Represent clients in family court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on family law issues.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Attend and participate in depositions, hearings, and mediation sessions.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their rights and options in family law matters.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on complex cases.
• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the legal profession.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience practicing family law, focusing on trial advocacy.
• Demonstrated experience in handling a wide range of family law cases.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
• Familiarity with New Jersey family law statutes and procedures.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
