A respected law firm is actively seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to support its Litigation Team remotely from Columbus, GA, in collaboration with the Atlanta office. Duties

  • Evaluate new case files to establish strategy, budgets, and recommended action plans

  • Identify and draft necessary pleadings; assign appropriate tasks to paralegals

  • Handle discovery processes including response drafting and document production

  • Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and other discovery proceedings

  • Negotiate settlements and secure necessary authority

  • Prepare cases for trial as needed

  • Maintain frequent communication with legal support staff to ensure case progression

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of litigation experience (insurance defense experience preferred)

  • Active license to practice law in Georgia

  • Proven ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize deadlines

  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
