A law firm located in Wyalusing, PA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for overseeing paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff, analyzing client needs, providing legal counsel, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in court. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage a heavy caseload, and a current license to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania. Duties:

  • Supervise and oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff.
  • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings.
  • Counsel clients and assess the best course of action for successful outcomes.
  • Draft, review, execute, and file legal documents and correspondence.
  • Attend meetings, hearings, and appointments to provide legal planning and services.
  • Prioritize client satisfaction and address client concerns promptly.
  • Represent the firm in the community through participation in boards, committees, and community groups.
  • Review all documents for quality, grammar, and accuracy.
  • Efficiently manage caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Suggest process improvements and maintain well-organized client files.

Requirements:

  • Current license to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm.
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; at least 2 years of client representation is a plus.
  • Advanced computer skills with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis).

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analysis skills.
