A law firm in Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 6+ years of experience in IP litigation, preferably with trial experience. The ideal candidate should have a technical background in software, computer science, electrical, or mechanical areas. They must be experienced in independently conducting research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery practices, and participating in hearings and depositions. Strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality client service are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct independent research and analysis related to intellectual property litigation matters.
  • Draft substantive pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Organize, conduct, and manage the discovery process, including document review and production.
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings.
  • Interface directly with clients and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Work closely with experienced lawyers to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.
  • Assist with trial preparation and trial strategy.

 

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in intellectual property litigation, with trial experience preferred.
  • Technical background in software, computer science, electrical, or mechanical areas.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality client service.
