Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its Franchise and Distribution Practice in the Denver office. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, and/or licensing matters. Franchise law experience is preferred but not required. Location:

  • Denver, CO

Duties:

  • Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, licensing, and general corporate transactions

  • Draft and review franchise and distribution agreements and related legal documents

  • Conduct due diligence and support business structuring in franchise-related matters

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on client matters and case strategy

  • Handle complex transactional and regulatory issues in a fast-paced environment

  • Manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high attention to detail

  • Provide legal counsel to both franchisors and franchisees (if applicable)

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, licensing, or general corporate law

  • Prior experience in franchise law is a plus, but not mandatory

  • High level of professionalism, responsibility, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to manage a demanding workload and operate effectively in a team-oriented culture

  • Must be admitted to the Colorado Bar or eligible for admission

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Colorado Bar or qualified for admission

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong communication and client service abilities

  • Maturity and self-motivation to handle complex legal issues independently and collaboratively
