Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will actively participate in various aspects of case preparation and management, including client interaction, legal research, case analysis, and trial preparation. The role involves handling a diverse caseload, focusing on medical malpractice and personal injury matters.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Manage client communications and conduct interviews to gather necessary case information.
  • Prepare cases for trial by organizing evidence, exhibits, and witness statements.
  • Attend and participate in depositions, hearings, and mediations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Review and analyze medical records, expert reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California in good standing.
  • Experience in plaintiff medical malpractice and/or personal injury litigation preferred.
  • Strong understanding of civil procedure, evidence, and trial advocacy.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
