A law firm in Allentown is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to contribute to ongoing cases, providing expertise in legal research, document drafting, case management, and oral argument preparation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior attorneys, possess excellent people skills, and have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Job Details:

  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw to support ongoing cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Assist with case management, ensuring efficient organization of documentation.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in Oral Arguments.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop effective case strategies.
  • Undertake various other duties in accordance with litigation in a team environment.
  • Prioritize candidates with Medical Malpractice experience.
  • Demonstrate deposition experience, including the taking of and defending depositions; meet with and prep clients for depositions.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Familiarity with Westlaw.
  • Excellent people skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as a crucial member of a highly motivated team.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in litigation.

 

Certifications:

Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research using Westlaw.
  • Strong drafting skills for legal documents.
