Job Overview: A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a highly qualified Mid-Senior Biotech IP Associate Attorney with 3-8 years of relevant experience in patent law. The ideal candidate should possess a Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline and be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. This role involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications, evaluating patent portfolios, and conducting due diligence investigations.

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in the biotechnology field.
• Evaluate and analyze patent portfolios for clients.
• Conduct due diligence investigations related to intellectual property matters.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and provide legal advice accordingly.
• Work closely with other attorneys and support staff to manage cases effectively.
• Provide strategic counseling on intellectual property issues.

Requirements:

• 3-8 years of relevant experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline.
• Experience working in a law firm environment is desirable.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral).

Education:

Certifications:
