A law firm in Wilmington, NC, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling foreclosure matters for the firm, utilizing their legal knowledge and experience to facilitate the foreclosure process on behalf of clients. This role involves the preparation, review, and approval of foreclosure-related pleadings, handling all aspects of foreclosure matters, participating in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, in-person hearings, and maintaining regular client meetings/updates.

Duties:

  • Handle foreclosure matters for the firm.
  • Utilize legal knowledge and experience to facilitate foreclosure processes.
  • Prepare, review, and approve foreclosure-related pleadings.
  • Manage all aspects of foreclosure matters, including contested foreclosures.
  • Participate in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings.
  • Maintain regular client meetings and updates.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Dually barred in DC and MD, in good standing.
  • Willingness to travel routinely for court attendances within the state of Maryland.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective communication with clients through client systems, email, and phone.
  • Exceptional client service orientation.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Conscientiousness regarding work completion, deadlines, time management, and attendance.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to work at a fast pace and multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate degree.
