Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Manchester, NH is seeking a Litigation Attorney. The attorney will handle a variety of litigation matters and should ideally have a portable book of business. They will be responsible for trial work, arbitrations, depositions, and administrative hearings. The ideal candidate will have excellent research, writing, oral advocacy, and interpersonal skills. Admission to practice in New Hampshire is required, and admission to Vermont and/or Maine is desired.

Duties:

• Manage and handle a variety of litigation matters.
• Conduct trials, arbitrations, depositions, and administrative hearings.
• Develop case strategies and handle all aspects of case management.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Attend court hearings and represent clients in proceedings.
• Mentor junior attorneys as needed.

Requirements:

• Portable book of business is welcome.
• 6-10 years of litigation experience.
• Strong trial, arbitration, deposition, and administrative hearing experience.
• Excellent research, writing, oral advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
• Admitted to practice in New Hampshire.
• Vermont and/or Maine admission is desired.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications (optional):

Certification in Trial Advocacy (preferred but not required).

• Excellent oral advocacy and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload.
