Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join their team in Duluth, GA. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, and have a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation experience. This role involves handling case files from start to finish with support from a team of skilled legal professionals.

Duties

  • Arrange suitable agreements and settle on clients' behalf when appropriate.
  • Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients.
  • Oversee personal injury case files from beginning to end.
  • Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, and case managers.
  • Execute the firm's personal injury case management process and procedures.
  • Manage a portfolio of personal injury cases using various case management programs.
  • Ensure client rights and firm integrity are preserved through expert representation.
  • Prepare legal documents and negotiate settlements for injured clients.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of personal injury law, tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills.
  • 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial experience in related practice areas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to client service.
  • Intermediate administrative and proficient computer skills.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the State of Georgia.
