A law firm in Tallahassee is seeking a skilled Corporate Partner with expertise in Employee Benefits matters, contract review, and corporate resolutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong drafting and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. Membership in the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming a member is required, with a portable book of business highly preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal counsel and representation in matters related to Employee Benefits, including defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, 401k plans, and profit-sharing plans.
  • Review contracts and corporate resolutions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and client objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute legal strategies that meet client needs and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, case developments, and billing information.
  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide informed counsel to clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming a member.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law in a law firm setting, with a focus on Corporate Law and Employee Benefits matters.
  • Proven track record of success in providing legal counsel and representation to clients in complex corporate matters.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Portable book of business highly preferred.

 

Education and Certifications:
