The candidate will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, representing clients in court, negotiating settlements, and managing case files from intake to trial.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research to support litigation efforts
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and legal memoranda
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties or their counsel
  • Manage case files from initial intake through trial and resolution
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar
  • 5+ years of experience in civil litigation
  • Experience with electronic legal research tools
  • Proficiency in drafting pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and legal memoranda
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Trial experience is preferred

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
