Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Worthington, OH, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience. The candidate will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, representing clients in court, negotiating settlements, and managing case files from intake to trial.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research to support litigation efforts
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and legal memoranda
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties or their counsel
• Manage case files from initial intake through trial and resolution
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations
• Utilize electronic research tools effectively

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Ohio State Bar
• 5+ years of experience in civil litigation
• Experience with electronic legal research tools
• Proficiency in drafting pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and legal memoranda
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Trial experience is preferred

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
