Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Tax Credit and Impact Finance Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of transactional experience. Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to community development transactions.
  • Assist in the structuring and documentation of transactions involving NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and provide legal guidance to achieve tax credit and impact finance objectives.
  • Review and draft legal documents, including transactional agreements, tax credit documents, and financing agreements.
  • Work closely with other attorneys, clients, and external parties to facilitate successful transactions.

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of transactional experience.
  • Strong interest in community development transactions utilizing NMTCs, HTCs, and/or RETCs.
  • Experience with NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs is beneficial.
  • Commercial real estate experience, commercial lending experience, structured finance, and/or general federal income tax experience are desirable.
  • An active license to practice law is required.
  • Superior academic performance.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law.

  • Legal research and analysis.
