A law firm is seeking an eDiscovery Attorney for their Berkeley Heights, NJ office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing eDiscovery in a portfolio of complex and global litigations & investigations.

Job Overview:

  • Position: eDiscovery Attorney
  • Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ

Duties:

  • Utilize eDiscovery review platforms such as Relativity, Recommind, and other analytics tools (TAR, predictive coding, Early Case Assessment).
  • Handle data processing and document processing effectively.
  • Advise legal, compliance, and group investigation stakeholders on eDiscovery issues & strategies compliant with relevant policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Work with eDiscovery processes and evolving technologies, understanding their interrelation with Information Governance, Data Protection, Data Security, IT, and Compliance.
  • Identify and escalate improvements to eDiscovery policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on eDiscovery topics and assist in onboarding and training new and existing customers.
  • Implement custom workflows to reduce client costs and enhance speed-to-evidence.
  • Create and refine standard documentation, including ESI protocols, Protective Orders, review protocols, training guides, and review workflows.

Requirements:

  • JD degree.
  • Ideally, 5 years of experience managing eDiscovery in complex litigations and investigations.
  • Admission to the Bar (any state).
  • Strong understanding of current eDiscovery law, jurisprudence, processes, and evolving technologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of eDiscovery practices and their relationship with related disciplines (eCompliance, Records, Information Governance, IT, Data Privacy/Protection, Data Security).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion and achieve goals.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify continuous improvements in policies and processes and execute those improvements.
