A law firm in Columbus is seeking a talented and experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in both basic and advanced estate planning. Experience with tax-exempt organizations and estate and trust administration is also preferred. They should possess excellent academic credentials and strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills. The candidate should have 2-6 years of sophisticated law firm experience.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a wide range of estate planning matters, including basic and advanced estate planning.
  • Advise clients on creating wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Develop strategies for wealth preservation and transfer.
  • Assist clients with estate and trust administration.
  • Provide counsel on tax planning and tax-exempt organizations.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized solutions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff on complex estate planning cases.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Ohio.
  • 2-6 years of sophisticated law firm experience in trusts and estates.
  • Substantial experience in both basic and advanced estate planning.
  • Strong understanding of tax planning and tax-exempt organizations.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate (Required)

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in Ohio (Required)
