Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Banking & Finance practice group. This position involves representing both borrowers and lenders in complex domestic and cross-border debt financing transactions. Ideal candidates will bring experience in private credit, syndicated lending, and growth capital financing, and demonstrate a strong commitment to client service and collaborative practice.

Location:

  • Wheeling, WV

Duties:

  • Advise borrowers and lenders in a wide variety of debt financing arrangements

  • Work on private credit transactions, syndicated credit facilities, and growth capital financings

  • Draft, negotiate, and manage complex loan and financing documents

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across offices on domestic and international transactions

  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients across the deal lifecycle

  • Contribute to the firm's high standards of legal service and client satisfaction

Requirements:

  • 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in a Banking & Finance practice at a law firm

  • Demonstrated ability to manage debt finance matters independently or with minimal supervision

  • Excellent client service skills and commercial judgment

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment

  • Must be admitted to the Bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • Compliance with any jurisdiction-specific practice requirements

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Bar of at least one U.S. State

  • Admitted in good standing and eligible to practice law

Skills:

  • Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with domestic and international finance structures

  • Ability to handle multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams
