A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney for its Pasadena, CA, location. The Litigation Attorney must be admitted to the California State Bar and have experience in taking and defending depositions, as well as writing and arguing substantive motions.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial testimony.
  • Attend court hearings and proceedings.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • Experience in taking and defending depositions.
  • Experience in writing and arguing substantive motions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Knowledge of civil litigation procedures and rules.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
