Job Overview:

The Estate Planning and Probate Associate Attorney will provide legal counsel and support to clients in estate planning and probate law matters. This role involves handling various tasks to ensure clients' estate plans are effectively structured and administered.

Duties:

• Conducting client consultations to assess their estate planning needs and objectives
• Drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
• Reviewing and analyzing estate planning documents prepared by other attorneys
• Assisting with the administration of trusts and estates, including probate proceedings
• Advising clients on estate and gift tax implications and strategies
• Collaborating with other attorneys and staff members on complex estate planning matters
• Researching and staying updated on relevant laws and regulations in estate planning and probate

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver
• 1-4 years of experience practicing estate planning and probate law
• Strong academic credentials with a focus on estate planning coursework preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Prior experience with trust and estate administration is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
