A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Attorney for its Orlando, FL, office.

Job Overview:

The Intellectual Property Attorney will collaborate closely with partners and senior associates, focusing on patent and trademark issues. The role requires significant experience in Patent and Trademark Litigation and a strong background in engineering or computer science.

Duties:

  • Work closely with partners and senior associates on patent and trademark issues.
  • Handle patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property laws.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the Patent Bar is preferred.
  • 8-12 years of patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution experience in a law firm setting.
  • Strong litigation skills with the ability to handle complex cases.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within deadlines and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Membership in the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming a member.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science is preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Patent Bar is preferred.
  • Membership in the Florida Bar or in the process of obtaining it.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in patent and trademark law.
  • Legal research and analysis skills.
  • Litigation strategy development and execution.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
