Trademark Attorney

A law firm seeks a Trademark Attorney to join their team in Encino, CA.

Job Overview:

The Trademark Attorney will be responsible for managing all aspects of trademark law for the firm's clients, including preparing and filing trademark applications, representing clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings, providing counsel on infringement matters, and advising on trademark usage and licensing.

Job Details:

• Prepare and file trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and manage the application process through registration.
• Represent clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
• Provide counsel on trademark infringement matters and engage in trademark enforcement and litigation as necessary.
• Advise clients on the use and licensing of trademarks, and assist with the negotiation and drafting of intellectual property agreements.
• Stay abreast of developments in trademark law and advise clients accordingly.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state and good standing with the State Bar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
