Commercial and Business Litigation Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Commercial and Business Litigation Associate with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience to join its Albany, NY office. This role offers hybrid flexibility, allowing for both in-office and remote work based on business needs. The successful candidate will engage in a diverse litigation practice, including contract and business disputes, shareholder rights, real estate litigation, and creditors' rights and bankruptcy litigation.

Duties

• Collaborate with team members and clients to develop litigation strategies.
• Assist with and manage cases throughout the litigation process.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including e-discovery and depositions.
• Participate in court appearances and trials.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of law firm experience in a litigation-based practice or equivalent.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Sound judgment and effective case management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a mentoring team environment.

Education

• Bachelor's degree.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admittance in New York.
