Attorney - Civil Litigation

Job Overview

A law firm seeks attorneys for its Albany and Saugerties offices with at least one year of experience in civil litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong connection to the Capital Region or Hudson Valley of New York and be an active member in good standing with the New York State Bar.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and writing.
• Draft legal documents and discovery materials.
• Conduct depositions and appear in State and Federal courts throughout New York State.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in areas such as personal injury, medical malpractice, or commercial litigation.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong oral and written communication and advocacy skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Exceptional case and client management skills.
• Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the New York State Bar.
