Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney for its Madison, WI office. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit investigation, discovery, motion practice, trials, and appeals.

Job Overview:

• Position: Litigation Attorney

Duties:

• Conduct pre-suit investigations and case assessments.
• Manage all phases of litigation, from discovery to trial and appeal.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm.

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience in private practice.
• Experience in personal injury, insurance coverage, and general litigation preferred.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Wisconsin or eligible for admission by reciprocity.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent research and writing abilities.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.
