A law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Family Law Associate Attorney to join their team in Greenwood Village, CO. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado, and have a demonstrated background in handling family law cases with professionalism and sensitivity.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, and paternity cases.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations.

 

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado and in good standing.
  • 1-2 years of experience practicing family law.
  • Experience handling cases from inception to completion.
  • First chair experience in hearings preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Sensitivity to the emotional and psychological aspects of family law matters.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Colorado State Bar.
