Junior To Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney for their San Diego, CA office.

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will possess 2-4 years of transactional tax experience, focusing on fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions. They should demonstrate immediately transferable skills, strong academic backgrounds, and the ability to produce high-quality work independently.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods of time, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 2+ years of relevant transactional tax experience.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience.
• Must be licensed to practice law in California.

Education & Certifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
