Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Government Contracts Associate Attorney will counsel clients on government contracts laws and regulations, review and negotiate subcontracts and teaming agreements, and handle litigation matters, including bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and/or Court of Federal Claims. The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of government contracts experience, possess high academic achievement, and demonstrate superb writing, drafting, and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients on government contracts, laws, and regulations.
  • Review and negotiate subcontracts and teaming agreements.
  • Handle litigation matters, including bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and/or Court of Federal Claims.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to government contract issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and memoranda.
  • Assist with client meetings, negotiations, and dispute resolutions.
  • Stay updated on changes and developments in government contracts, laws, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in government contracts law.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • High level of academic achievement.
  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Experience counseling clients on government contract issues.
  • Proven ability to review and negotiate contracts and agreements.
  • Strong litigation skills, including experience with bid protests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Education:
