Associate Attorney

Chicago office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney with 1-5 years of litigation experience. The candidate will handle local and national accounts in Illinois and Missouri. Will independently manage a litigation caseload. Review, analyze, and draft discovery requests. Conduct depositions. Prepare and argue motions. Responsible for trial preparation and support. Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial. Attend court hearings and trials. Maintain accurate time records. Motion practice and deposition experience is required. Admission to practice in Illinois is required. Secondary admissions to the Missouri, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, and/or Indiana Bar will be given preference.

The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. The ability to work in an organized and efficient manner is required. Superior research and writing skills are needed. The ability to analyze complex matters is essential. Must also have excellent analytical and critical reasoning skills. Case management skills, precision in legal writing, and a professional demeanor at depositions and court hearings in multiple jurisdictions are required. Must be ready for travel, including occasional overnight travel.
