Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior associate to join its Real Estate Finance Practice Group in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have two to six years of experience in real estate finance, with a focus on large structured commercial transactions.

Duties

• Originate loans for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Manage asset management and workout processes.
• Oversee transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.
• Handle secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.

Requirements

• Two to six years of broad real estate finance experience.
• Experience with mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
