A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a qualified and motivated Associate Attorney to provide legal representation, engage in litigation defense or prosecution, and contribute to the firm's growth and community visibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, communicating with clients, and supporting the overall legal and management goals of the department.

Job Details:

  • Provide legal representation to clients, assessing facts and issues, and offering appropriate counsel.
  • Engage in litigation defense or prosecution of civil claims.
  • Respond to client concerns to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
  • Participate in industry organizations and affiliated committees to increase the firm’s visibility in the community and industry.
  • Represent the firm internally and externally.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support legal and management goals.
  • Make court appearances and attend meetings in San Diego.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree.
  • Active California Bar license.
  • 1-3 years of attorney experience.
  • Ability to communicate regularly with clients on a range of practice group topics.
  • Ability to multitask and operate against inflexible deadlines both in a team environment and independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and reprioritize caseload.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in business and/or real estate law.
  • Experience with ProLaw or other billing and document management programs.

Education:

  • J.D. degree.
  • Active California Bar license.
