Job Overview:

The Intellectual Property Attorney will work closely with other partners and senior associates on patent and trademark issues. They will primarily focus on patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution, utilizing their extensive experience in this field.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on patent and trademark litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property disputes.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on intellectual property matters.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage caseload efficiently, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 8-12 years of patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution experience in a law firm setting.
  • Admission to the Patent Bar is preferred.
  • Strong litigation skills with a focus on patent and trademark matters.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within deadlines and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Engineering or computer science degree or significant experience litigating patents in these technology areas.
  • Membership in the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming a member.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
  • Preferably admitted to the Patent Bar.
