A boutique law firm in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced attorney to join its real estate and corporate practice group. This full-time role offers hands-on client interaction and the opportunity to handle diverse matters, including commercial leasing and business transactions across industries—particularly within the hospitality sector. Location

Duties

  • Advise clients on commercial leasing transactions and business acquisitions

  • Draft and negotiate real estate and corporate agreements

  • Provide legal counsel to clients across a range of industries

  • Participate in client meetings and maintain regular communication

  • Work closely with senior attorneys on complex real estate and corporate matters

  • Manage legal filings, due diligence, and transactional documentation

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in commercial leasing and/or corporate law

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small legal team

  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with direct client interaction

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia (required)

  • Admission in Maryland and/or Virginia is a plus but not required

Skills

  • Expertise in commercial leasing and corporate transactional law

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical capabilities

  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication

  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
