A law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney for its Las Vegas location. The Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney will oversee all aspects of assigned cases, ensuring proper case management, documentation, communication, and litigation. They will be responsible for managing communication with relevant parties, attending hearings, and advocating for clients. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

 

Duties:

  • Ensure daily clearance of case management software (CMS) feed
  • Complete all assigned tasks by relevant due dates
  • Properly document all assigned cases in CMS
  • Clear emails daily and address any issues promptly
  • Monitor and manage the progress of all assigned cases
  • Establish, review, and update case plans as necessary
  • Facilitate regular meetings with assigned Claim Specialists and Litigation Specialists
  • Complete Initial 72-hour Contacts and Semi-Annual Meaningful Client Contact (QMCC)
  • Identify and address any issues that arise during case management
  • Manage communication and correspondence with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other relevant parties
  • Oversee routine communication and draft non-routine correspondence
  • Review determinations to ensure case goals are met and appeal issues where appropriate
  • Direct and manage the litigation of assigned cases, including attending hearings and making legal arguments
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and leadership team meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution approved by the American Bar Association
  • Specialization in law or related field
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and in good standing with the Nevada State Bar

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution approved by the American Bar Association

 

Certifications:

Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and in good standing with the Nevada State Bar

 

Skills:
