A law firm in Minneapolis is seeking a Patent Agent (Immunology/Virology) with a Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology and a minimum of 3 years of experience prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space. The ideal candidate should possess strong academic credentials and be admitted to practice before the USPTO.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of immunology and virology, particularly in areas such as immunotherapy, gene therapy, and cell therapy
  • Respond to office actions and communicate with patent examiners to advance patent applications
  • Assist in the preparation of legal opinions related to patentability, validity, and infringement
  • Conduct comprehensive prior art searches and analyze patent landscapes
  • Collaborate with inventors, attorneys, and scientific experts to develop patent strategies
  • Assist in the preparation and prosecution of patent appeals, interferences, and reexaminations
  • Stay abreast of developments in immunology, virology, and patent law

 

Requirements:
