Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm with a strong national presence is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Attorney to join its growing Construction Practice Group in Texas. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned litigator with a minimum of six years of construction litigation experience. The successful candidate will play a lead role in case management and trial preparation, representing clients in complex construction disputes. Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Handle a wide range of construction litigation matters from inception through trial

  • Manage files independently, including responsibility for motion practice and depositions

  • Prepare for and participate in courtroom proceedings

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and legal correspondence

  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution

  • Interact directly with clients and opposing counsel

  • Provide legal analysis and strategic guidance in complex construction-related disputes

  • Support team collaboration and contribute to the continued growth of the construction practice group

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of construction litigation experience

  • Proven trial preparation and courtroom experience

  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, particularly in construction-related matters

  • Familiarity with insurance defense processes is a plus

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and work independently

  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

  • In good standing with the Texas State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills

  • Effective oral and written advocacy

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
