Job Overview

A well-established regional defense law firm is seeking a litigation associate with a minimum of three years of experience to join its insurance defense team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving auto liability, third-party liability, UM/UIM claims, bad faith litigation, and first-party insurance matters. Duties

• Handle a caseload involving auto liability, third-party liability, UM/UIM, bad faith, and first-party insurance defense matters

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Conduct depositions, hearings, and court appearances

• Participate in or lead trials depending on experience

• Collaborate with senior attorneys for mentorship and strategic case development

• Manage case progress from inception through resolution

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense

• Experience with Pennsylvania state and federal courts

• Demonstrated ability to manage case deadlines and client communications effectively

• Willingness to handle a high-volume caseload with supervision as needed

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

• Admission to additional jurisdictions a plus
