A law firm in Summerville, SC is seeking an experienced Real Estate Closing Attorney to join its team. The successful candidate will oversee a variety of residential and commercial real estate transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role involves close collaboration with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate seamless transactions and deliver excellent client experiences. The firm values strong communication skills and the ability to cultivate lasting business relationships.

 

Duties:

  • Oversee a range of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinances, within the office.
  • Thoroughly review titles to ensure accurate property ownership information and identify any potential issues.
  • Collaborate closely with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate smooth real estate transactions.
  • Draft and review a diverse array of loan documents, including contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Provide clients with professional and engaging experiences, addressing any questions or concerns during closings.
  • Review and manage the disbursement ledger, ensuring accuracy and signing checks as required.
  • Develop and nurture strong business relationships to contribute to the firm's growth.
  • Conduct training sessions for potential clients, educating them on relevant areas of real estate law.

 

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar.
  • Preferably have experience in closing real estate transactions.
  • Prior residential real estate experience is preferred; however, the firm is open to training the right candidate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Member of the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing).

 

Skills:
