The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in family-based immigration and removal defense, be fluent in Spanish, and possess a Juris Doctor.

Duties:

  • Assist with family-based and removal cases, including representing clients in immigration-related matters such as removal proceedings and family-based applications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and guidance on their cases.
  • Collect, synthesize, and prepare documentation for various immigration filings.
  • Maintain and update client databases to ensure accurate case records.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines while managing a large caseload.
  • Oversee the work of legal assistants and support staff, providing guidance and supervision.
  • Option to work remotely a few days a week, with required office presence in downtown Chicago on certain days.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
  • 1-3 years of experience in family-based immigration and removal defense.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Spanish.
  • Prior experience supervising paralegal/legal assistant support staff preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the United States.
