Political Law Associate Attorney

A law firm in San Rafael is seeking a Political Law Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience. The successful candidate will play a vital role in conducting legal research, providing guidance on campaign finance, lobbying, and ethics laws, and advising on nonprofit compliance and governance issues. Job Details:

• Conduct legal research and provide guidance on federal, state, and local campaign finance, lobbying, and ethics laws.
• Counsel on the formation and maintenance of ballot measures and independent expenditure committees.
• Oversee the preparation of campaign finance and lobbying reports.
• Develop and deliver presentations on political law compliance issues in client training, seminars, and conferences.
• Advise on nonprofit compliance and governance issues.
• Demonstrate excellent research and writing skills.
• Preferred experience with government, political, regulatory, or similar work.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience.
• Strong academic credentials (top 20%).

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) required.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in political law or related field (preferred).

Skills:

• In-depth understanding of campaign finance, lobbying, and ethics laws.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Experience in government, political, regulatory, or related work.
• Ability to counsel on nonprofit compliance and governance issues.
