Job Overview:
A well-regarded family law firm in San Diego is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. Location:

  • San Diego, California

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal support and advocacy to clients in family law matters

  • Maintain and foster strong client relationships

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and depositions (in person)

  • Draft and file claims, motions, discovery, and other legal documents

  • Prepare legal reports, conduct legal research, and negotiate settlements

  • Collaborate with legal team members to support firm-wide success

  • Meet assigned billable hour requirements

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience practicing family law

  • In-person court appearance capability (required despite hybrid work option)

  • Strong familiarity with legal procedures in California family courts

  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a respectful and team-oriented environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical capabilities

  • Experience with discovery procedures (preferred)

  • Background in civil litigation or bankruptcy is a plus

  • Ability to manage a flexible schedule and meet deadlines efficiently
