Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking a skilled attorney to join its Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation team in Los Angeles. Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex IP litigation matters, focusing on patent disputes.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Manage discovery, depositions, and case preparation.
  • Advise clients on litigation strategies and risk management.
  • Participate in hearings and oral arguments in court.
  • Provide support in PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) disputes.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on IP-related matters.
  • Assist in business development efforts and client relationship management.

Requirements:

  • Experience in IP or patent litigation.
  • Strong academic background with top-tier law school credentials.
  • Technical background, such as an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with PTAB matters is a plus.
  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school (Graduation years 2019–2022 preferred).
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, etc.).

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility to apply.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation matters and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of patent law and IP litigation practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Technical proficiency and the ability to grasp complex technical concepts quickly.
