Corporate/Real Estate/Banking Associate Attorney

A law firm based in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Corporate/Real Estate/Banking Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience. The candidate will be responsible for handling major multi-million and billion-dollar real estate transactions, including financing, sales, leasing, and acquisitions across a variety of property types such as multifamily housing (market-rate, affordable, LIHTCs), shopping centers, office complexes, industrial buildings, warehouses, student housing, condominiums, mobile home parks, and hotels. Strong technology skills, legal advocacy skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. Experience with commercial real estate, drafting and negotiating various documents, and familiarity with bond finance structures are advantageous.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee major real estate transactions, including financing, sales, leasing, and acquisitions.
• Draft and negotiate a variety of documents, such as commercial purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, guaranty agreements, and real estate-related joint venture agreements.
• Conduct title and survey reviews, handle permitting, zoning, and development matters.
• Work on energy and/or renewable energy projects, if applicable.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure transactional success.
• Advise clients on legal matters related to real estate and banking.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Participate in client meetings and provide strategic legal advice.
• Handle a diverse range of corporate and banking matters as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate, real estate, or banking law.
• Strong academic credentials with analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with commercial real estate transactions.
• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating various legal documents.
• Familiarity with bond finance structures is a plus.
• Additional licenses in other states are advantageous.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
