Litigation Associate - Macon Office

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level litigation associate to join its team in Macon, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be motivated and experienced, ready to take ownership of cases and contribute meaningfully to the team. The firm handles a variety of complex litigation matters, including business torts, construction disputes, and local government representation.

Duties

• Manage and drive litigation matters forward with general guidance.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including depositions.
• Draft dispositive motions, discovery motions, and expert-related filings.
• Develop legal strategies and manage client expectations.
• Participate in hearings and take the lead when necessary.

Requirements

• Substantive experience in commercial and/or general litigation.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience with local government law is a plus.
• Must be admitted to the Georgia Bar and in good standing, or eligible for admission.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Georgia Bar.
