A law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking a Trial Attorney with 2-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in trials and other legal proceedings.

 

Job Duties:

  • Represent clients in trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda
  • Prepare witnesses for testimony
  • Present evidence and arguments in court
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case
  • Manage caseload and meet deadlines
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategy

 

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of Illinois
  • 2-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney
  • Trial experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
